research director.

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Alex Stall has joined the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce as research director, a position that will be responsible for researching and organizing current, complete and pertinent data to support the South Central Kentucky regional marketing program in the areas of business and economic intelligence.

Dan Preston, vice president of economic development for the Chamber, anticipates excellent work from Stall, who was a college intern with the Chamber in the spring of 2007.  "Alex has demonstrated a penchant for economic development in his work and volunteer efforts. His education, experience and attention to detail will make him an excellent addition to the Economic Development Team here at the Chamber."

Born in Ohio, Stall graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in public affairs management and a minor in small business and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the Chamber as research director, he served as the director of communication and internal services for Dynastrosi Laboratories, Inc.

The research director position results from the revised South Central Kentucky marketing plan that the Chamber began implementing in November 2007. James N. Hizer, CEcD, president and CEO of the Chamber, has high expectations for this revised marketing plan and sees Stall as a key contributor to its projects. "Since working as an intern at the Chamber, Alex has shown a great interest in economic development and the Chamber's efforts to support the region. He is energetic and knowledgeable, and I anticipate great results from his work, which will include significant research projects that will help us to build our resources and heighten our marketing efforts."

Incorporated in 1935, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is the driving force for economic development in South Central Kentucky. As one of only 336 chambers nationwide to be accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the fourth largest chamber in Kentucky, the Chamber serves as a premier business advocate for its more than 1,300 partners. Its primary goals are to promote growth and success in the business community, reaching its small business partners and those in large industries alike. With leadership programs, governmental relations projects, educational initiatives and involvement opportunities, the Chamber aims to support the community and its neighbors in order to enhance the business climate and continue to grow the region.
