BOWLING GREEN, KY-The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its next Business at its Best Seminar on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. The seminar, "Taking Your Business Mobile," will provide detailed information about how to build a mobile presence for businesses.

Presented by Hitcents, the September 18 seminar will address the difference between mobile sites and apps, how to present a business's mobile image, how the implementation of these technologies will be beneficial to customers, and lastly how the particular usage of mobile sites and apps can either benefit or hinder a business.

A recent study by eMarketer stated that more than 73 million people in the US are using smartphones. This number makes up for 30% of mobile users. This is roughly 21 million people who have downloaded at least one app. These numbers are continuously rising as the ease and convenience of mobile technology is becoming more accommodating to the needs of the public.

A business no longer needs to solely worry about the customers that walk by their doors, now they can reach out to millions of customers and potential customers with a digital presence that can be seen around the globe. With the market share of smart phones aggressively growing, now businesses can reach the pockets of customers with their mobile smart phones with their offerings, promotions and messages.

Chris Nation, Hitcents.com creative director, said, "The statistics are overwhelmingly in favor of the growth and importance of mobile web browsing. In fact, researchers expect that access to the internet via a mobile device will overtake that of a traditional desktop by the end of 2013! Knowing this, it is essential for businesses and individuals alike to understand these technologies and how to best utilize them for their organizations. Mobile is not going away, it's here, it's now and it's the future."

Seminar attendees will participate in a discussion on taking products and services mobile and reaching the millions of people who use their smart phones every day. The seminar will address
  • The difference between mobile sites and apps
  • The best use of implementing those solutions
  • Asking the right questions for how you should present your mobile image
  • How customers use these technologies
  • How these technologies can help your business

The two-hour seminar begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber Headquarters located at 710 College Street. Registration is required online at www.bgchamber.com. Seminar cost is $15 for Chamber partners and $25 for non-partners. Breakfast will be provided by President's Club Platinum Star Partner Citizens First.
