Chamber to Host Website Development Seminar July Business at its Best Seminar Will Help Small Businesses Build No-Cost Websites Contact: Jessica M.L. Thompson, MTPC, IOM, Marketing & Communications Director 270-781-3200; jessica@bgchamber.com BOWLING GREEN, KY-The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its next Business at its Best Seminar on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. This seminar will guide you through the steps to create your own customized business website. The Chamber's partners for this seminar are: Bowling Green Technical College, Spears Marketing, Kentucky Technical Solutions, Cornerstone Information Systems, Hitcents.com and the WKU Small Business Development Center. In Kentucky, 71% of small businesses do not have a website, yet studies show that 97% of consumers go online to search for local products and services. Businesses limit themselves by lacking an online presence. Establishing a website creates the opportunity to find new customers, increase sales and grow your business. Attendees will leave the hands-on seminar with a no-cost, functioning three-page website with web hosting, a customized domain name and access to online tools and training for your business. All services will be free for the first year. "Customers look for your business online, and without a website, you're limiting your market reach," explained D. Gaines Penn, 2012 Chamber Board of Directors chairman. "This Business at its Best Seminar addresses this topic, and we're grateful to our partnering businesses for their assistance. For just the cost of your seminar registration, you'll receive a year-long web presence and resources, saving you hundreds of dollars for the year!" The two-hour seminar begins at 7:30 a.m. in Lab Room 134 at the KATI Building located at 1127 Morgantown Road. Registration is required online at www.bgchamber.com. Seminar cost is $15 for Chamber partners and $25 for non-partners. Breakfast will be provided by President's Club Platinum Star Partner Citizens First. "2011 Chairman Rodney Rogers and Chamber staff met with hundreds of small business owners last year and gathered valuable information about our partners' needs and wants," continued Penn. "These discussions led us to create the Business at its Best Seminar Series, which are low-cost opportunities for business education and development." The Chamber hosts the monthly Business at its Best: Seminars for Business Success series to provide numerous resources for business owners. Participants leave each seminar with valuable, practical information that can be immediately applied to their businesses. Register for July's Business at its Best Seminar online at www.bgchamber.com.
