BOWLING GREEN, KY-The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, along with many of its partners, spent Wednesday, September 2, welcoming Western Kentucky University students back to campus.
The annual Welcome Back WKU Festival connects Chamber partners with university students. To showcase their services and products, more than 40 Chamber partners set up booths, greeted students, and presented giveaways to thousands on WKU's South Lawn, taking an opportunity to reach the student population.
"Our community welcomes thousands of WKU students back to Bowling Green every August," said Chamber Board Chairman Todd Davis. "The Chamber knows that our partnership benefits from being in front of these students during the first week of classes. Those partners participating in Welcome Back WKU enjoy having a chance to meet so many students in such a venue as we provided on Wednesday."
Partners received increased exposure with live radio broadcasts and media coverage.
For more information about Welcome Back WKU and other Chamber programs, contact Program Director Lindsey Moyers at 270-781-3200 or lindsey@bgchamber.com.
