BOWLING GREEN, KY-The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that Lindsey Moyers will now serve as the Chamber’s program director. In this position, Moyers will be responsible for a variety of Chamber committees and programs, including Leadership Bowling Green.

“Lindsey is a very talented individual and she will bring great strength to the program director position,” said Tonya Matthews, IOM, ACE, Chamber vice president, operations. “With past experience in marketing and event planning, we’re confident in her ability to succeed in this new role.”

Moyers is a 2003 graduate of Western Kentucky University, having received a Bachelor of Arts degree in corporate and organizational communication and marketing. From 2002 to 2004, she served as an associate and intern for Riherds.com, coordinating the company’s marketing efforts and website maintenance, as well as providing customer support. Moyers then joined Paul Davis Restoration in 2004 as marketing coordinator, a position in which she was responsible for the local franchise’s marketing plan and several events including a golf tournament and continuing education courses.

Most recently, Moyers worked for Commonwealth Health Corporation (CHC) as a marketing/development coordinator. During her three years at CHC, she coordinated a variety of activities and events including the 10K Classic, Children in the Arts, and the Charity Ball. She also assisted with marketing campaigns for various service lines, administered scholarship programs and was responsible for the Commonwealth Health Foundation donor database.

Moyers is a member of the Professional Marketing Association, Young Professionals of Bowling Green, and March of Dimes. She regularly volunteers for the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Bowling Green Warren County Community Education, Junior Achievement of South Central KY, and the Kidney Foundation. She is a member of Greenwood Park Church of Christ.

“We’re eager to watch Lindsey apply her skills to her new role,” said Todd Davis, 2009 Chamber Board chairman. “With her years of experience and her high energy, she will be a great asset to the Chamber staff and board, our many volunteers, and the partnership as a whole.”

Incorporated in 1935, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is the driving force for economic development in South Central Kentucky.
