BOWLING GREEN, KY-Representatives of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce will travel to Capitol Hill in June during the fourth annual South Central Kentucky Washington DC Fly-in. Chamber partners are encouraged to consider participating in this event, which is designed to promote the region's legislative needs to our congressional delegation.

"I emphasized our increased legislative action efforts when I announced my 2009 theme of Many faces. One voice," said Todd Davis, 2009 chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors. "The Fly-in is one of our biggest events of the year, and we hope our partners will join us in Washington as we meet with our senators and congressmen."

This year's Fly-in will be held on June 9-11, during which the Chamber will hold meetings with key members of South Central Kentucky's congressional delegation.

"Decisions made every day in Washington impact the lives of South Central Kentucky residents and our individual businesses. The Fly-in is an opportunity for the Chamber to share our successes and challenges with our congressional leaders, building top-of-mind awareness for those who represent us on a federal level," says James N. Hizer, CEcD, Chamber president and CEO.

Chamber partners are encouraged to join the Chamber in Washington on June 9-11. The participation fee for Chamber partners is $950 and $1,150 for non-Chamber partners. This fee covers a two-night stay, four meals and the registration fee. Travel is not included.

For more information or to register for the Fly-in, contact Program Director Beth Oliphant at 270-781-3200 or
