Preparing a Global Workforce

BOWLING GREEN, KY--Please join the Kentucky Department of Education and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to attend a meeting to discuss how we can collaborate to create a globally competent workforce in the Commonwealth, hosted by the Kentucky Department of Education.
 
Thursday, March 29,
8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Holiday Inn University Plaza - 1021 Wilkinson Trace


The meeting will bring together businesspeople and educational administrators from across South Central Kentucky to co-construct the vision of a globally prepared workforce and begin to share ideas and strategies to bring it to reality. The resulting work will be merged with other regional meetings' outcomes and will be shared with legislators, the state board of education, and other decision-makers to inform the development an action plan designed to move us toward the vision.

Presenters include:

  • Sergeant First Class Jeffrey L. Henry, U.S. Army
  • Darren Srebnick, International Trade Specialist, World Trade Center Kentucky
  • Jon Valentine, Georgia Department of Education
  • Deborah Hefferon, Washington, D.C. Cultural Trainer
