Warren County Industrial Training Consortium Celebrates Supervisor Certificate Graduation Fifteen Graduate from Inaugural Class

BOWLING GREEN, KY- The Warren County Industrial Training Consortium celebrated the graduation of its inaugural Supervisor Certificate Program class on Thursday, November 17. Fifteen employees of local companies graduated on Thursday.
The Warren County Industrial Training Consortium coordinates the Supervisor Certificate Program in partnership with local business and industry, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, Western Kentucky University's Center for Training & Development, Bowling Green Technical College and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.
The graduating class began their coursework in January 2011. The program consists of nine core courses and six electives. WKU faculty and staff deliver the professional development courses, including basic business practices, time management, problem-solving and customer service. Bowling Green Technical College provides technical training expertise for Lean Manufacturing and safety courses.
Warren County Industrial Training Consortium Board President Tammy Monday expressed her pride in all those who completed the program, "These individuals made a commitment when they registered for this program, a commitment to strengthen their skills and broaden their career opportunities. They've accomplished this goal, which is symbolized by tonight's graduation."
Graduates of the program are
- Wendell Martin and David Taylor of Bando USA, Inc.
- Shawn Ammons, Brandy Meers, Tim Osborne, Jeff Ramsey and Eric Rogers of Berry Plastics
- Michael McCrory and Michael Sadvary of Lord Corporation
- Todd Elrod, Patricia Gilmer, Chad Morelock and Scott Staten of NHK of America Suspension Components (NASCO)
- Rick Watson of Topura America Fastener
- Regenia Calvert
Additionally, seven program participants will graduate within the next several months. These individuals are Bando USA, Inc
- George Bunton of Bando USA, Inc.
- Michelle Carter of Lord Corporation
- Will Daniels, David Pearson and Tony Whitney of NHK of America Suspension Components (NASCO)
- Nate Newton and Greg Stockton of Southern Foods, Inc.
"Congratulations to all of the program graduates!" said 2011 Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Rodney Rogers. "This program is an excellent opportunity for business and industry supervisors to increase their leadership skills and further their workforce training, and the Chamber is proud to support it."
